Has anyone had ringing in their ears after an ear infection and did it go?

I’ve had ringing in the ear after an outer ear infection. My ear canal was red and i had inflammation. After 8 days of using ear drops, the inflammation went down but the ringing has continued, although quieter.It’s been 4 weeks since the infection has gone and it’s still there.

It sounds like it could be tinnitus. I would go to the doctor and explain how you have constant ringing in your ears. If it is tinnitus, there probably isn’t much they can do for you. You might have to just learn to live with it.
