  • How do I know if the pain in my ear is from an ear infection?

    ear infection
    mrr86 asked:

I have an ear infection in my left ear, which hurts pretty bad. I am about to go to the store to pick up drops for it. In my right ear, I have pain too, but the pain is not coming from inside, it is only the outside of the ear, which is very weird. I can put my finger on the exact spot it hurts, so I would think its a pimple or something. I do not see anything, though. However, it is not just that particular spot that hurts, that is just the part that hurts the most. It is surrounding that area too. I do not feel any pain coming from the inside of this ear, just the part right on top of the earlobe. Any ideas what this could be?

  1. When you get ear infections it tends to make you jaw hurt to, but as for it being on the oppsite side I’m not really sure. You could always go back to the doctor to have it checked. There is also an over-the-counter medicine made by Similasan that is for ear infections. It is a homeopathic medicine.
