How do you alleviate the pressure and fluid build-up from an ear infection?
2 Commentsmclovin1980 asked:
I have an ear infection, and the fluid is so built up in my ear that I can’treally hear out of it, and it hurts like hell. I’m taking an antibiotic, but is there any way I can drain some of that fluid?

you can try decongestants like sudafed. There is no magic cure for the buildup, it will release on its own, but decongestants help occasionally, as well as intranasal steroids. Visit an ENT doctor for these Rx. and other advice.

continue to take antibiotic, use decongestant, try to keep your head like propped up. if you lay flat it usually gets worse. try like motrin for the pain.
only an ent can drain the fluid by placing ventilation tubes only if you have recurrent infections.
