How long is normal to have an ear infection?
2 CommentsApril asked:
I have an ear infection even though I was on the anti biotic z pack. It did not get any better so they gave me a new stronger anti biotic and I have been on that for over another 48 hours. They told me I should be feeling somewhat better right away but, Im still in alot of pain and still can not hear. Should I be worried and what can I do to help?

Im slightly worried.
That is an abnormally long time for an ear-infection. Fortunately not the longest I’ve heard of. Why don’t you try the doctors again? Remeber, ‘The patient is always right!’

the same thing happened to me, i have been on antibiotics for 10 days and still nothing. i think you should get a second opinion, because that’s what i did and it turns out i have Vertigo and need to go to an ear specialist. hope this helps, and take tylenol or advil for the pain.
