  • Any natural remedies for an ear infection on my dog?

    ear infection
    Dandie the Dirty Dog asked:

My dog has just underwent surgery and for it had to take quite a few meds (antibiotics and pain killers), but now developed an ear infection. I really do not have the money to take her to the vet, and I really do not want any more harsh methods to cure her infection.
Could someone please give me any suggestions? Thanks!

  1. try some peroxide should fizz a little.all so you can give your pet an aspirin.
‘read the label on the bottle and a just for your pets weight” break it in half if you need to .use a q tip to clean the pets ear. don’t stick it in to deep. also you local pharmacy sells sweet oil for about 3 dollars

  2. Chlorophyll liquid is the best thing in the world to aid in healing of practically anything, from earaches, minor infections, sore throats, eye irritations,it can even be used in the nose for congestion and allergy irritation.I use it for myself, my 3 children and my animals…just make sure not to give it orally to any human on blood thinners(unless okayed by their Physician)Try you local health food store…Good Luck.

  3. yes! GSE (grapefruit seed extract) is an anti-viral, bacterial, fungal, etc. It is used for a number of things in humans, but in animals as well. It is completely safe to use and will not kill ‘good’ bacteria. (That could be why he’s developed an ear infection after taking antibiotics). Research it on the web, there are a lot of great sites. It costs about $10-$15 in any health food store. Good luck!

  4. Pouring some hydrogen peroxide into the affected ear and letting it sit there for about 5 minutes will help kill any germs, and also loosen any excess ear wax buildup.

  5. Hello,
Please remember by using natural remedies on animals and children you as the parent, owner can be charged with child or animal abuse.
natural remedies are not recommended for children or animals.

Take the dog back to the vet, find a low cost place. Go to the feed store and see if there is something there.
    Good luck
