3 Commentspuffer fish asked:
I have a tongue ring and my hear started hurting. I’m pretty sure it’s an ear infection and scheduled an appointment with my doctor. But could an ear infection spread to my tongue piercing and cause it to become infected?

Possibly. Your ear nose and throat are all connected.

Actually yes your tongue can become in danger of falling off because of the bacteria in the piercing. You need to ask the doctor for alkamental it can protect you from not losing your tongue
-
No. An ear infection is caused by fluid build up in the canal. It stays stagnant and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. It will not spread to your tongue.
