I have an ear infection from swimmers ear. I have a very very mild TMJ and my jaw is swelling around the joint i think it is because of the infection. My mom said that a warm rag should help with the swelling but I know that when you get hurt and say your knee is swelling you are supposed to put something cold on it. Which one, or if you have any other suggestions let me know. (Other than telling me to get antibiotics for the infection i already did)

I have a middle ear infection, went to the ER exactly a week ago. Doctor gave me Amoxicillin to clear the infection. I finished the antibiotics a few days ago, but I haven’t been able to hear real well out of the infected ear. Everything is muffled and warbly, and I do experience the fullness and popping that is supposed to go along with the fluid draining. Does anyone know how long it will take before I will get my hearing back? Would taking a decongestant help speed along the process? Thanks for your help.

My dog has just underwent surgery and for it had to take quite a few meds (antibiotics and pain killers), but now developed an ear infection. I really do not have the money to take her to the vet, and I really do not want any more harsh methods to cure her infection.
